The Next Generation of Technical Training.
Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning is best known for residential and commercial heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration services and installations across New York State. One of Isaac’s competitive advantages is that home and business owners know the work will be completed by a technician who is the most highly trained, and educated. The Isaac Training & Education Center (ITEC) takes that commitment to excellence to the next level.
ITEC is one of the country’s premier mechanical trades training and education centers. Beyond expanding Isaac’s own employee training initiatives, ITEC supports the training needs of other contractors. Most importantly, ITEC raises awareness and promotes workforce development for skilled trades careers.
We are currently accepting submissions for our programs, however we are following state and federal guidelines as it pertains to the COVID-19 health crisis and those restrictions put into place for the health and safety of our community.
Nationally Recognized. Regionally Focused.
Isaac-Specific Training Initiatives
ITEC is home to the Isaac University training program and the 12-week paid development program, Isaac University Boot Camp. Isaac University offers on-going classroom education, hands-on lab training, and NATE Certification testing for Isaac employees. Isaac University, and now Isaac Technical (ITEC), is accredited by Partnership for Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Accreditation (PAHRA). Additionally, Isaac is the only contractor approved as a New York State Apprenticeship Program provider for sheet metal workers – an honor typically reserved for trade schools.
Community Training Partnerships
ITEC works in partnership with Monroe Community College (MCC) to ensure coursework completed by Isaac technicians is eligible for up to 18 college credits at MCC. ITEC participates in partnerships with other colleges, universities and skilled trades organizations to support training and education initiatives.
Regional Training Resource
ITEC provides opportunities for contractors, as well as businesses specializing in electrical, plumbing, and residential and commercial services, to utilize the ITEC facility for training purposes. Isaac Technical (ITEC) delivers the training, tools, and resources organizations need for workforce initiatives. Don’t need an ITEC instructor to provide you with the lesson? ITEC has flex space available for leasing your own lab and classroom.
It is widely reported that skilled trade vacancies are some of the hardest jobs to fill in the country. Finding people to work as HVAC technicians, electricians, carpenters, welders, bricklayers, plasterers, plumbers, and masons has become difficult. ITEC’s established training and education curriculum is a workforce development driver for the mechanical trades. ITEC’s partners work to place program graduates into careers at the end of the program.

State-of-the-Art Training Facility
The 30,000 square-foot Isaac Training & Education Center (ITEC) includes a 20,000-square-foot multi-functional technical lab, as well as 10,000 square feet of fully interactive classroom space. ITEC features both residential and commercial mechanical modules that contain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and more – to support real-world training.
The Commitment to Training and Education
ITEC was founded on the success Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning had with their in-house training program, Isaac University. A technician at Isaac receives more training and education in the first six weeks of their employment than other technicians might receive over the life of their career. That commitment to training and education doesn’t end there. Over the course of their tenure at Isaac, technicians receive hundreds of hours of additional training and education in all facets of the trades, including soft skills, leadership, and life skills education.
The ultimate benefactors of this extensive training are the clients Isaac serves. Increased competence promotes confidence, which ensures clients receive quality installations and services.
